Out and about around Passo Rolle
Hiking and walking for all ages and abilities
Hotel Venezia, being in Passo Rolle, is ideally located at the starting point of many walks and paths suitable for both expert hikers and families with small children. There is something for all!
Below are a few suggestions but the list is far from exhaustive! We will be happy to advise further on the many other walks and hikes in the area.
- Hotel Venezia - Baita Segantini: easy walk of around an hour up to this locally renowned mountain hut. Suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs.
- Hotel Venezia - Lakes of Colbricon: easy walk of around an hour following a forest footpath down to these picturesque mountain lakes.
- Hotel Venezia - Cavallazza: total walk of around 3 hours up to this nearby peak offering the chance to view local wildlife (chamois and marmots) as well as the mountain trenches built in the First World War. Initially head towards the ridge of Tognazza with splendid views of the Pale di San Martino and then upwards to the summit of Piccola Cavallazza itself (6,985 feet).
- Hotel Venezia - Mulaz: all day hike up to this summit contained with the Pale di San Martino mountain group. The route takes in the Baita Segantini, the source of the Travignolo River and then via mountain paths up to the base of the summit. From here you can choose to continue to the peak itself or descend to the Mulaz mountain hut for some well earned refreshments! Simply stunning and far-reaching views from the top (8,590 feet).
